Optimization Process Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Optimization Process Specialist to join our team in the Mining Solutions business. This is a critical role that will be responsible for deploying our MetOptima tool at customer sites, ensuring its smooth operation across all phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy and guarantee the operational readiness of the MetOptima system at customer workstations.
- Identify and resolve issues or bugs in the MetOptima tool, consolidating customer feedback and ensuring optimal tool operability at mine sites.
- Catalyze training and coaching sessions with customers to facilitate their adoption of the MetOptima system.
- Collaborate with Data Scientist and Engineering Teams to validate Recovery and Throughput baseline analysis, negotiating and signing off on this critical metric.
- Regularly update and maintain the user guide for the MetOptima system, reflecting any changes or improvements.
- Organize and lead regular meetings to track KPIs with customers, updating reports and acting on key performance indicators.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer processes, evaluating instruments, and control loops to ensure seamless integration of the MetOptima system.
- Support the Data Scientist team by translating data from main control loops into actionable insights.
- Provide expert guidance to customers on the logic behind MetOptima's operation, ensuring they can effectively utilize the system.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in mining and chemical processes.
- Advanced knowledge of Advanced Process Control (APC), Mining Process, and Chemical Process.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Python is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously.
- Willingness to travel to remote locations and self-driven approach.
- Fluent English communication skills; Spanish proficiency is an asset.
