Electrical Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled E/E Product Specialist Engineer to join our team at Mercedes-Benz Mexico International S. De R.L. De C.V.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Localization of Electric & Electronic Components (Incl. Wiring Harness) in Mexico and NAFTA, ensuring smooth production ramp-up and continuous series production of Mercedes-Benz Vehicles.
- Tracking necessary documentation and process readiness of the parts for the vehicle production plant.
- Driving continuous improvement for own area of responsibility, and challenging others to top performance.
- Promptly responding to shop calls and plant build issues, understanding the ramifications and developing suitable countermeasures.
- Maintaining information exchange with RD Germany for smooth and timely implementation of changes with the suppliers and Mercedes-Benz vehicle plants in alignment with the project targets.
- Scheduling accurate introduction packages for series production.
- Interacting with multi-tier supplier base and Mercedes-Benz vehicle plants during process setup, trial production and product approval phase, ensuring industrialization according to design specifications, MB standards, customer expectations and government regulations.
- Aligning and collaborating on technology, methods and targets with other global teams including product design, validation engineering, compliance, manufacturing, quality and purchasing.
- Proactively informing management of project issues, delays and risks.
- Generating and implementing ideas to continuously improve work environment, systems, tools, processes as well as product cost and quality.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor ́s or Master ́s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related career.
- Native or business fluent English language skills.
- Desirable: Spanish and German language skills.
- Practical experience in E/E components and systems or wiring harness development or production, and automotive industry.
- Strong networking skills, oral and written communication skills, dedication to company growth and profit, customer orientation, discipline, integrity, and proven ability to participate and eventually lead large-scale, cross-functional global product projects.
- Agility to work in an environment of ongoing change, and proven record of being able to handle multiple, detailed tasks & work professionally with various levels of management.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical requirements, and willingness for travelling.
