About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Controlling to join our team at Marelli. This is a pivotal leadership role within our finance department, reporting directly to the Divisional Controlling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Oversight: Develop and implement the overarching financial strategy, including budgeting, planning, and complex cost analysis, ensuring robust financial health across all plant operations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting Excellence: Innovate and drive the processes for Mid-Term Planning, Annual Budgeting, and Forecasting in collaboration with the Plant Manager, aligning with the FP&A framework and setting financial targets that match Marelli's strategic objectives.
  • Advanced Financial Reporting and Insight Provision: Deliver precise and timely financial reporting, including an enriched Monthly Financial Package, and provide analytical review and commentary on financial performance, spearheading root cause analyses to foster a deep understanding of performance drivers.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance Leadership: Establish and enforce rigorous compliance and audit frameworks, ensuring seamless cooperation with accounting shared services for flawless Balance Sheet reviews, reconciliation, and audit preparations.
  • Operational and Financial Advisory: Serve as the primary business advisor to plant management, driving decisions towards optimal operational and financial performance, systematically examining spending patterns, and identifying and advocating for substantial improvement and savings opportunities.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and enhance the controlling skills of your team, fostering an environment that encourages professional growth and aligns with Marelli's strategic financial ambitions.
  • Effective Collaboration and Communication: Ensure effective collaboration with external finance resources, including shared service functions and project controlling, to ensure a unified and coherent financial strategy across all plant-related activities.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 12-15+ years of substantial experience in a Financial Controlling role or similar capacity, possessing a proven track record of driving significant financial results.
  • Fluency in English: Required, with the ability to articulate and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proficient in SAP across one or more modules, with an authoritative understanding of financial systems and protocols, expertise in advanced data management and analysis, and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
