Railroad Operations Coordinator

**Job Summary**
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management and movement of train and engine crews using the Auto Crew Call system. The ideal candidate will assist in coordinating lodging and transportation for crews with hotels, motels, and taxi companies.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in handling all Auto Crew Call exceptions.
- Help manage the Auto Crew Call system to support the transportation plan.
- Make hotel and motel reservations for crews.
- Coordinate with taxi companies to transport crews between the trains and their lodging facility.
- Assist in issuance of bulletins and abolishment notices for train and yard jobs.
- Help with creation of daily and monthly reports.
- Monitor and regulate crew boards at each location.
- Understand the relevant business metrics and apply effective tactics to sustain a culture of operational effectiveness that produces teams of high performing, engaged and empowered operational leaders.
**Requirements**
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant operations experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Acumen in one or more disciplines of railroad operations.
**Working Conditions**
- Shift work is an essential function of this job. Employees must have the ability and willingness to support critically important railroad operations 24 hours per day/7 days per week, working various shifts as assigned.
- On-call responsibilities are an essential function of this job. Employees must have the ability and willingness to support operations of critically important systems and/or processes 24 hours per day/7 days per week.
- This position may require minimal travel up to 10% of the time.
