Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our daily Latin American operations from our Mexico City office. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain management, purchasing, inventory, distribution, and personnel management. This role will be responsible for managing the flow of goods from multinational suppliers, through multi-location distribution, to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop a comprehensive supply chain strategy, from factory to localized distribution networks, with a focus on Mexico and key Latin American markets.
  2. Manage the operations budget and deliverables, including drawing up and managing ongoing budgets and taking necessary actions to grow or expand while keeping costs in line with expectations.
  3. Co-manage the 3PL distribution center, ensuring it meets agreed-upon KPIs, and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the 3PL.
  4. Continuously analyze and improve existing operations, 3rd party relationships, and IT systems.
  5. Manage all inbound stock and space management, ensuring a robust and cost-effective turnaround of stock.
  6. Day-to-day management of all trade customer services, including setting up trade retail partners' accounts, pricing, systems (EDI), and inputting orders onto local systems.
  7. Support the D2C implementation from an operations standpoint, assisting with order processing, shipments, payments, and consumer service and aftercare.
  8. Work with Engineering, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Finance daily to create cross-departmental project collaboration for new, existing, and products phasing out.
  9. Implement the group IT systems into the Latin American offices, ensuring robust testing before launch.
  10. Set up and oversee the consumer service area of the business, including warranty, spare parts, and consumer advice departments.
  11. Support the account receivable teams in the US as required, including invoice submissions to trade partners, payment chasing, and banking information.
  12. Ensure the smooth running of the office, including stationary, supplies, visitors, etc.
