Financial Controller for Latin America

Position Overview

As the Financial Controller for the LATAM region, you will oversee and execute financial responsibilities within the Siemens Energy framework, specifically focusing on the SE TI Steam Turbines & Generator Service Business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the budgeting, forecasting, and actual reporting processes, addressing any variances and implementing corrective actions within the LATAM area.
  • Collect and scrutinize cost reports and allocations to ensure the integrity of financial records.
  • Spearhead initiatives for process enhancement and digital transformation within your domain, promoting ongoing improvements to boost cost visibility and precision.
  • Accountable for identifying, detailing, and refining all pertinent commercial matters, including business model analysis, documentation preparation, tax strategies, insurance, currency considerations, compliance, cash flow management, and review of agreements.
  • Assist regional controllers in streamlining processes and information flow.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Project Manager to ensure financial outcomes align with established objectives, optimizing project profitability, cash flow, and asset management.
  • Ensure high-quality reporting and strict adherence to corporate policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Over 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and regions.
  • Highly driven and proactive, with exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation capabilities.
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Strong business acumen, sound judgment, and analytical skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish is essential; knowledge of Portuguese is advantageous.
  • Positive mindset towards working in a challenging environment and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Comprehensive understanding of international trade, finance, accounting, and contract law.
