We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Marriott Worldwide. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's maintenance and repair functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment, and visually inspecting tools and machinery.
- Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed.
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication protocols.
- Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Perform surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs, as well as light bulb and A/C filter replacement.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system for maintenance work and perform repairs on landscaping and sprinkler systems.
- Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
Requirements
