Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Global Information Security team to develop and implement information security strategies, methodologies, and controls.
- Develop and deliver training plans to raise awareness of information security within the organization.
- Localize IT and Information Security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the performance and availability of information security technical services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, such as CNBV and Banxico, to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct third-party security reviews and risk assessments.
- Provide expertise and coordinate internal and external reviews of security frameworks, such as PCI-DSS, 27001, SOC, and standards.
- Conduct annual reviews of current vendors.
- Report on security maturity, risks, and events to senior management.
- 5+ years of experience in information security and IT operations in fintech or banking.
- Intermediate experience in technical security disciplines and information security requirements within technology.
- Experience managing intra-group outsourcing of IT and information security services.
- An excellent understanding of compliance requirements, including those related to the financial services industry.
- A great understanding of PCI-DSS, PSD2, GDPR, and other compliance and regulatory frameworks.
- Expertise in cloud environments and technology stack.
- Technical experience of IT and information security tools and controls.
- Technical knowledge of Linux/Windows operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of programming.
- Fluency in English.
- To be based in Mexico City as this is a hybrid position, with 3 days/week in office.
- Hands-on coding experience with SQL.
