About the Opportunity:

Polaris Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Lean Manufacturing Improvement Specialist to join our team.

Estimated Annual Salary: $90,000 - $120,000

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives, assessing current business performance, identifying gaps, and establishing and implementing improvement plans.

This role requires strong leadership skills, expertise in Lean principles, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate cross-functional expert teams to drive breakthrough or Best-in-Class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Material Flow, and Cost.
  • Conduct Value Stream Analysis (Current and Future State Value Stream Mapping).
  • Develop Future State vision and implementation plan.
  • Support other C.I. initiatives, including best practice implementation, while striving to improve Business Metrics.
  • C coach team members in understanding Lean principles.
  • Assist in the gathering of PPS Assessment data. Collaborate with Lean Manager to improve Lean-relevant metrics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or Business, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Prior manufacturing experience (3 years minimum).
  • Has shown initiative, the desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations.
  • Has solid leadership skills and strong lean systems expertise (1 year experience as Lean Engineer is mandatory).
  • Has a solid understanding of manufacturing and lean principles, including Process Controls, Heijunka, SMED, VSM, Kanban, GEMBA & Material flow.
