We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our GenAI strategy in Latin America. As a Senior General Manager Business Development, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with founders and leaders of newly founded and venture-backed GenAI startups. Your primary objective will be to map their technical and commercial challenges/opportunities onto Amazon's assets and mobilize them to work on behalf of these startup customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage with founders/leaders of newly founded and venture-backed GenAI startups to understand their technical and commercial challenges/opportunities.
- Map those needs onto Amazon's assets, including people, technology, knowledge, programs, and relationships, to potentially help these startups.
- Mobilize Amazon's assets to work on behalf of these startup customers.
- Act as the voice of the startup customer by discovering, capturing, and reporting back patterns and learnings from the field about opportunities related to GenAI.
- Develop and hold relationships with key influencers in the startup ecosystem focused on GenAI, including venture funds, accelerators, university labs, and programs.
- Drive customer and partner relationships for the portfolio, jointly produce thought leadership and educational events, and/or the broader startup ecosystem.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of GenAI technical expertise and business background.
- Ability to drive engagements and interact with founders and general partners.
- Sufficient technical knowledge to comfortably and effectively interact with CTOs, software developers, and architects.
- Competency in cloud computing.
- Keen sense of ownership, curiosity, scrappiness, and drive.
