At Steelcase, we're seeking a skilled Fabric Requirements Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our production planning team, you'll be responsible for analyzing fabric requirements and placing purchase orders with suppliers in North America.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing material requirements and placing Purchase Orders with suppliers in North America
  • Planning the sequenced production and delivery of material to ensure meeting the requested delivery date
  • Communicating and updating order status, including changes, cancellations, delivery deadlines, and all pertinent information regarding the order
  • Expediting orders as necessary to meet customer demand, schedule deadline, or department priorities
  • Acting as the primary liaison between supplier and Steelcase for material purchasing
  • Providing feedback on data integrity issues and business processes that impact or are impacted by the data delivered

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, International Affairs, Industrial Engineers, or a related field
  • Advanced English is a must
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Previous experience in a similar role (recent graduate or 1-2 years of experience is a must)

Preferred skills include:

  • SAP experience is preferred
  • Smartsheet knowledge is desired
  • Strong ability to analyze, conceptualize, and logically organize database information with high precision and accuracy
  • Requires a working knowledge of the material purchasing function and overall manufacturing processes
  • Good analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated customer service passion and a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Ability to work well under pressure meeting scheduled deadlines and make good business decisions
