Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing advanced technical and functional support of business systems and applications for the end-user at Tyson Foods. This includes:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical and functional support of strategic business initiatives
  • Aligning with business groups to understand current and anticipated business process support needs
  • Assisting with the development, implementation, and support of business applications and processes
  • Providing advanced application and operating systems technical and functional support in a networked environment

Additional Duties:

  • Documentation of activities via the support center call-tracking tool
  • Creating, logging, and revising technical manuals, knowledge repositories, and correspondences
  • Creating and interpreting reports, disseminating and following up on information as necessary
  • Performing system-related and configuration assignments, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • Analyzing and resolving software and hardware errors in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Providing status reports where required
  • Developing and reviewing design specifications for software applications
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for systems and configurations throughout the system lifecycle
  • Providing on-call support and problem resolution for systems
  • Working with end-user groups to assist with aligning IS technology with business goals
  • Conducting feasibility studies to define the purpose, functions, and overall structure of business processes
  • Performing analysis and documenting business processes leading to process change and system implementation
  • Assisting in developing system application architecture
  • Aiding in developing scope and requirements for IS projects for a business unit
  • Aiding in development and execution of project plans

Requirements:

  • Education: Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Finance
  • Equivalent work experience may be acceptable
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in Information Systems or a related area with relevant experience
  • On-the-job SAP experience, particularly in FI-CO (Finance Controlling)

Role-Specific Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of business process design and experience with a System Development Lifecycle Methodology
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and modifying specifications, configurations, and programs to meet specified requirements
  • Communicating technical information to non-technical team members
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting information systems proposals and evaluating and developing alternative implementation plans
  • Experience working productively on a team
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback to other team members
  • Working knowledge of relevant multi-user computer systems, applications, and equipment
  • Knowledge of current technology developments and trends
  • Extensive problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing and executing test plans
  • Possess basic project management capabilities
  • Experience developing good working relationships with business area team members
  • Possess basic SQL and data analysis skills

Communication Skills:

Good verbal and above-average written skills

Travel:

Some travel may be required, with the amount determined by individual project requirements
