About the Role
SAP is seeking an experienced OS/Linux Server Engineer to join its Regional Delivery team in ECS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OS/Linux Server engineering and experience in global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvement to increase operation, availability, and efficiency of infrastructure landscape re-architecture and new technology adoption.
- Collaborate with various SAP stakeholders and customers to drive de-escalation and develop proactive "Go Green" plans.
- Manage escalations and de-escalate customers by addressing specific concerns and creating plans to move from Red to Green.
- Engage directly with customers along with CDM, TSM, or dCEM to resolve situations.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience as an OS/Linux Server engineer in global operations.
- Strong exposure to automation tools/scripting or processes.
- SAP installations and upgrades, planning, setup, and implementation.
- Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing and tuning of Systems.
- Experience with cloud knowledge (e.g., working in Public Cloud Domains like Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP).
- Professional Certification of OS/Linux Server and ITIL certification.
