Job Summary
Conservation International is seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to serve as Chief of Party for the Sustainable Landscapes Ventures project. This position will lead the project's execution, overseeing the development of sustainable and inclusive value chains at scale in three landscapes in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead innovation to achieve scale, market access, and blended financing for Collective Business Entities in the landscapes.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusivity and sustainability throughout the project.
- Coordinate the design, operation, and Steering Committee of the blended finance mechanism.
- Manage daily relationships with consortium partners and stakeholders.
- Design annual work plans and collaborate with other ongoing landscape projects.
- Attract responsible buyers to the Marketplace and cultivate new investors to join the blended finance mechanism.
- Develop collaboration agreements with governmental institutions and lead the long-term vision of Collective Business Entities and the Blended Finance Engine.
- Ensure that the design, standards, and regulations of Collective Business Entities have an inclusive focus on gender equity, women's empowerment, and youth inclusion.
- Lead and manage the project team, providing strategic direction, vision, coordination, resource management, and supervision required to achieve strategic goals and deliver top-quality products.
- Prepare annual work plans, budgets, and annual progress reports, delivering timely, accurate, and detailed reports that meet donor requirements.
- Direct and oversee grant implementation, ensuring that all strategic objectives are met through appropriate design, staffing, implementation, and quality assurance.
- Establish and maintain effective project reporting, evaluation, and communication systems.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of small producers, value chains, markets/buyers, and financing.
- Experience in leading innovation and developing strategies to promote inclusivity and sustainability.
- Ability to coordinate complex projects and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
