Inventory Management Specialist

As a seasoned Inventory Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the procurement inventory management performance of Country Procurement Operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in advising and providing solutions to help the team optimize their working capital, maximize Company results, and lead worldwide initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
- Propose and lead initiatives to improve inventory management processes in warehouses across all countries.
- Coordinate and supervise the implementation of working capital optimization initiatives with procurement countries to facilitate the execution of inventory management targets and optimize Company results.
- Define, consolidate, and monitor inventory KPIs based on a global, regional, and local perspective to help country operations identify opportunities.
- Establish and recommend global policies and models for inventory management to optimize and ensure control of CEMEX working capital worldwide.
- Review current inventory parameters to propose new levels according to new operational activity to reduce risk and achieve optimal inventory.
- Analyze critical and repaired spare parts levels in all countries to set a common set of rules to reduce risk and achieve optimal inventory levels.
- Analyze high-rotation items in all countries to propose consignment strategies.
- Recommend virtual or centralized warehouses within one Region or among several Countries/Regions.
- Review current technologies on warehouse management to propose pilots of the warehouse of the future to reduce workload, make the process more efficient for end users and procurement personnel.
- Support data cleaning/deduplication campaigns to rid the system of old, unused data or duplicate data for better management and more efficient processes.
- Recommend global policies and models for Item Master Catalog management to ensure the quality of data classification structure and descriptions to support data analytics and consolidation (spend) for negotiations, purchases, inventories, maintenance, and suppliers' processes.
- Establish a strategy to optimize working capital that includes all country Procurement and Operations to be part of it.
- Ensure operability of local legal requirements and provide support for new needs and requirements.
- Consolidate global inventory information with different ERP systems and different structure models (guarantee updated and accurate information to share).
- Manage different cultures and languages in advising and providing solutions to help Country Procurement Operations optimize working capital in inventory management.
Position Challenges

Qualifications
- Spanish and English proficient.
- Bachelor's degree in administration, finance, or engineering, and desirable master's degrees.
Areas of Expertise
- Sourcing/Supply Chain/Inventory Management role (CEMEX preferred).
- Operative position (cement plant).
- Worked with multidisciplinary teams.
- Negotiations.
- Global experience.
Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge in inventory management.
- Deep knowledge of spare parts and materials related to the cement, ready-mix, and aggregates businesses.
- Knowledge of cement and ready-mix maintenance and production processes and procurement processes.
- Broad knowledge of data quality in material master data field.
- Good understanding of Finance and Project Evaluation.
- Project Management capabilities: demonstrated experience designing and executing large-scale, enterprise-wide projects.
