About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager to lead a team of labor planning managers and analysts in Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Mexico. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing labor plans that drive business results and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Capacity Planning: Define the overall capacity under the roof across Mexico, ensuring that we have the right resources in place to meet customer demand.
  2. Labor Planning: Lead labor planning mid- and long-term activities for all Delivery Stations (DS), ensuring that we have the right labor resources in place to meet business needs.
  3. Process Improvement: Drive the creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Lean initiatives to improve the labor planning process, enabling Amazon to meet and exceed business plan.
  4. Collaboration: Leverage the labor planning and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) teams by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the supply chain planning and execution.
  5. Best Practices: Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices in labor planning are shared across the network, driving consistency and excellence.
  6. Team Management: Manage others, develop exceptional talent, and encourage your team to challenge assumptions, driving a culture of innovation and excellence.
  7. Recruiting: Promote recruiting efforts across the network to continually hire and develop the best talent, ensuring that we have the right people in place to drive business results.
  8. Policy Development: Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability.
  9. Data Analysis: Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated, and timely, driving data-driven decision making.

Requirements

  1. Experience: 5+ years of working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  2. Team Management: 5+ years of team management experience, with a proven ability to develop and lead high-performing teams.
  3. Project Delivery: 5+ years of cross-functional project delivery experience, with a proven ability to drive projects from start to finish.
  4. Program Management: 5+ years of program or project management experience, with a proven ability to define program requirements and use data and metrics to determine improvements.
  5. Analytical Skills: Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership, with a proven ability to drive business outcomes through data-driven decision making.
