About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Learning Experience Designer to join our team at Ellucian Company L.P. As a key member of our instructional design team, you will play a critical role in developing high-quality, innovative, and effective training programs that equip learners with the resources and activities necessary to successfully meet learning objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Vision and Guide the Direction of Ellucian product training programs and curricula, ensuring alignment with the overall training program vision.
  2. Create a Training Vision for stakeholders and transform that vision into engaging instructional strategies and assets.
  3. Recommend Appropriate Modes of Training Delivery, including e-learning, instructor-led, and blended training.
  4. Apply Instructional Design Theories and Best Practices to training program development and maintenance, guiding IDs and other LXDs to achieve consistent, excellent results.
  5. Lead the Design of Engaging Learning Activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and knowledge transfer.
  6. Project Manage, Plan, and Organize product training programs and curricula, attending team leadership meetings to report statuses and progress.
  7. Manage ID Workload across multiple projects, providing direction, feedback, and quality assurance as they carry out the development of training deliverables.
  8. Adhere to and Provide Input on Documented Instructional Design Standards and processes to ensure quality and consistency.
  9. Assess Existing Learning Resources and Program Curricula to ensure quality and accuracy of training content and identify gaps in the curriculum.
  10. Determine Criteria to Assess Learner Performance.
What You Will Bring

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of success in interpreting and applying current and emerging adult learning theories and project management strategies to the management of training programs and curricula.

  1. Demonstrate Expert Collaboration Skills and proven success in working on cross-departmental teams.
  2. Lead the Development of Training that deals with technical content and subject matter, enabling others to understand it.
  3. Demonstrate Proven Success in Working on Global Teams across a variety of geographic locations and cultures.
  4. Summarize Technical Information (verbally and in writing) for a non-technical audience, mentoring others on the team to develop the same skills.
  5. Work Proficiently with Content Authoring Tools such as Articulate 360 suite, Adobe Captivate, video editing tools, text-to-speech technologies, etc.
  6. Demonstrate High Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
  7. Demonstrate Strong Interpersonal, Communication, and Organizational Skills.
  8. Demonstrate Proven Success in Leadership, Critical Thinking, and Problem-Solving.
