About the Role

Eaton's Power Distribution division is seeking a seasoned Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to lead our LATAM operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, while also promoting sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EHS programs aligned with Corporate Eaton requirements, fostering a Zero Incident culture through sound policies, preventative approaches, and environmental stewardship.
  • Facilitate divisional/regional forums for knowledge sharing and best practices across various EHS programs, including integration of Corporate, Group, and LATAM Divisional EHS initiatives.
  • Create and deploy a strategy for achieving LATAM Division Leadership goals for EHS and Sustainability, establishing ownership and accountability to achieve divisional goals and objectives.
  • Support EHS risk assessment initiatives and risk mitigation, including security.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with governmental authorities on matters of mutual concern, including voluntary certification and environmental permits.
  • Build organization capability by providing EHS mentorship, training, and development of EHS professionals to ensure each site within the division has the appropriate technical and functional competencies.
  • Support the investigation process of incidents and accidents to determine root causes and prepare/direct corrective and preventive action plans.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline, or equivalent technical field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline, or equivalent technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
