Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement standardization processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Design and implement manufacturing systems that meet quality and capacity requirements.
- Apply lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma methodology to drive process improvements.
- Propose and justify improvements to existing processes to reduce costs and increase productivity.
- Maintain constant communication with external suppliers regarding delivery times.
- Validate new equipment and technologies to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Submit and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Product Change Notifications (PCNs).
- Develop and evaluate new technologies to support process improvements.
- Develop continuous improvement strategies to support company objectives.
- Provide solutions to reduce cycle times and ensure product quality.
- Implement and control capital and budgets.
- Establish recommendations for changes and updates to new products.
- Determine activities required to improve production efficiency.
- Analyze product defects and develop solutions.
- Analyze Efficiency, Productivity, OEE, and Downtime metrics.
- Develop, evaluate, and search for products to reduce costs.
- Establish operating methods and work standards.
- Monitor compliance with established budgets.
- Participate in the development of activities to maintain manufacturing costs within company limits.
- Prepare documents to facilitate product manufacturing procedures.
- Analyze and solve problems and defects in the process.
- Investigate the root cause of customer complaints and submit corrective/preventive actions.
- Maintain constant communication with manufacturing areas to evaluate needs and priorities.
- Establish, implement, and audit production standards and conduct capacity analysis control.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manager of Engineering services or activities related to the development of Automotive products and/or production lines.
- Experience in Engineering change management.
- Knowledge of computer packages for problem-solving and use of AutoCAD.
- Management and administration of projects and new launches.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and the Six Sigma methodology.
- Core knowledge tools (PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA).
- Knowledge of line balancing, standard work, and material flows.
- English proficiency (90%).
- Customer-oriented (Teamwork).
- Results-seeking and action-oriented.
- Integrity and trustworthy.
