Job Summary

  • Carrier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers to ensure on-time pick-up, transit, and delivery of shipments.

  • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule appointments with shippers and receivers, update the Transportation Management System (TMS) as needed, and communicate with logistics specialists.
  • Load Status Management: Monitor and update the status of shipments, identify and address any issues, and provide sufficient comments for communication to customers.
  • TMS Management: Utilize the TMS to actively manage on-time performance and automation objectives, update load status, and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Geographical Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of the continental US, Mexico, and Canada.
  • Customer Knowledge: Have a deep understanding of the customer's business, including their product, supply chain, and key service measures.
  • Transplace Expertise: Understand and know the company's mission, values, and goals, as well as its organizational structure, history, and internal processes.
  • Technical Skills: Possess working knowledge of Microsoft tools and basic computer systems and programs, as well as the ability to learn and utilize the TMS.
