Key Responsibilities

The Country IdP Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing and addressing all supplier-related issues in accordance with the Group IdP Purchasing Strategy, aiming to enhance Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance. This role also involves leading productivity initiatives and supporting the growth of a team of buyers (Segment and Regional/Project Buyers) within the designated country or countries.

Required Skills and Competencies

Internal Customer Engagement
Establish a robust network with internal stakeholders to communicate the IdP strategy, identify potential enhancements to integrate into the IdP segments (commodity) strategies, facilitating the execution of Group segment projects.
Engage with all organizational levels, capable of creating detailed presentations for Management to secure understanding, agreement, and backing for IdP Group initiatives and strategies.
Contribute to P&L outcomes through both commodity and regional actions.
Lead or Contribute to Productivity and Cost-Reduction Initiatives :
Direct and oversee the efforts of IdP Operations (regional/project) buyers and Segment buyers to collaborate closely with Plant Managers and departmental managers to identify and implement savings initiatives beyond mere price negotiations.
Spearhead productivity action plans involving suppliers.
Drive Value Management projects within the region by promoting benchmarking and best practices at plants to identify, implement, and achieve cost savings at plant, regional, national, and global levels.
Assist the IdP Director in developing and training departmental personnel to foster a team-oriented, continuous improvement culture.
Implement cost-reduction strategies through competitive benchmarking of detailed cost components.
Develop sourcing strategies that optimize the supply base.
Conduct supplier meetings and visits to enhance personal expertise and manage supplier relationships as necessary.
Participate in IdP Segments (Commodity) Projects
Engage in projects and competitive bids led by IdP's global Commodity team, integrating regional needs. Contribute to data collection, specifications, and evaluation of outcomes.
Manage the execution of corporate contracts within the Region.
Collaborate with Global, Regional Segment, and Operational (regional/project) Buyers in sourcing strategies to establish a global supplier network for new business opportunities.
Support the team in coordinating activities with counterparts in other regions to facilitate global quoting and projects.
Optimize Purchasing Portfolio Not Covered by Segment (Commodity) Contracts or Ongoing Projects :
Provide guidance to IdP Buyers on consolidating recurrent local needs, managing competitive bids, and reducing the supplier base through consistent contracts.
Offer direction to IdP Buyers on local high-value one-time needs, projects, negotiations, and contracts.
Ensure diligent follow-up on contract application and conduct regular audits for contract compliance.

Proficiency in English & Spanish is required.
