Job Summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Master Scheduler to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating all demand with sending sites, and providing a plan at order receipt taking into account level loading, capacity, strategic inventory (buffer stock); working on planning initiatives, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • A. Demand Balancing

Balance current and future customer demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements.

B. Master Production Scheduling

Create the Master Production Schedule in the MRP system to generate requirements for manufactured and purchased parts while ensuring desired inventory levels are maintained.

C. Order Promise Management

Act as a tie breaker between customer service and manufacturing: Review new sales order requests and provide a feasible promise dates to customer service before the orders are promised.

D. Data Analysis and Reporting

Analyze data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepare reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution.

E. Order Generation and Execution

Review planning parameters in order execution systems (such as MFGPro) to ensure proper order generation.

F. Production Scheduling and Coordination

Coordinate with supply Chain, Manufacturing and Customer Service groups to maintain plant-wide production scheduling information.

G. Strategic Inventory Management

Assist materials planning group in analyzing the need for and size of strategic inventories to meet customer demand fluctuations.

H. Master Schedule Time Fences

Determine appropriate Master Schedule time fences at the site and ensure that production schedules are level loaded and that plant output is as linear as possible while customer service levels are maximized.

I. MPS Stability and Root Cause Analysis

Monitor MPS stability, track reasons for schedule changes and ensure that root causes for schedule volatility are being resolved.

J. SIOP Process Deployment

Deploy a common SIOP process across the division that is based on the Eaton 5 step methodology.

K. Demand Planning and Supply Planning

Facilitate the divisional demand planning meetings, the supply planning process, the financial reconciliation and the final SIOP plan review.

L. Capacity Management and Planning

Work with the divisional leadership team to manage product cross qualifications across the division and facilitate the decision to acquire internal/external capacity to balance demand & supply.

M. Demand and Capacity Imbalance Resolution

Facilitate cross functional activities to resolve demand and capacity imbalances before the operations are impacted and present potential solutions during the SIOP meeting for approval.

N. 'What If' Scenario Analysis

Conduct and present 'what if' scenarios to analyze the impact of taking on additional demand before customer commitments are made.

O. Rough-Cut Capacity Planning

Deploy rough-cut capacity planning methodology across the division.

P. Rolling SIOP Plan

Replace the annual profit planning forecast process with a 18 month rolling SIOP plan.

Q. SIOP Plan Conversion and Loading

Ensure that the SIOP plan is converted into sales volumes and drives the financial forecast and that the SIOP plan is loaded timely into the plant ERP systems to drive the MPS.

R. RRSA Process

Implement the RRSA process.

Qualifications

3-5 years of related experience.

3-5 years experience within a manufacturing setting.

Skills

  • Experience scheduling and planning of manufacturing processes.
  • Bilingual English/ Spanish
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.
  • Detailed understanding of SIOP process
  • MRP experience
