About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Global Group Sales Director. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling group business to drive revenue growth for our properties worldwide.
Your primary focus will be on developing and executing sales strategies to meet budgeted sales goals for our resorts. You will work closely with our sales and marketing teams to identify new business opportunities, solicit group bookings, and negotiate contracts. Your ability to build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions will be essential in driving revenue growth.
You will also be responsible for managing a sales territory, identifying new market opportunities, and developing account plans to maximize group revenue. Your expertise in sales, negotiation, and relationship-building will be critical in achieving sales targets and expanding our client base.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to travel extensively, working closely with our regional sales teams, hotel staff, and external stakeholders. You will need to be flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. A high degree of independent judgment and discretion will be required when making decisions and managing confidential information.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in luxury hotel group sales, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a managerial role. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. A college degree and proficiency in English are required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet budgeted sales goals for our properties.
- Identify new business opportunities, solicit group bookings, and negotiate contracts.
- Manage a sales territory, identify new market opportunities, and develop account plans to maximize group revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions.
- Travel extensively to work closely with regional sales teams, hotel staff, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement sales initiatives.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and expand the client base.
Requirements
- Proven track record in luxury hotel group sales, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- College degree and proficiency in English.
- Working computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Golden Sales & Catering, Ideas, Internet, and Opera.

Location
This role is based in our global headquarters in Toronto, Canada. However, due to the nature of the role, you will be expected to travel frequently to work closely with our regional sales teams and external stakeholders.
