About the Role

The Director of Government Affairs for Latin America will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with government officials and policymakers throughout the region. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts, as well as representing the company at hearings and meetings with government officials and policymakers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with government officials and policymakers at the local, state, and federal levels throughout Latin America.
  • Develop and implement legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts, with a focus on the acquisition, production, and distribution of audiovisual content.
  • Represent the company at hearings and meetings with government officials and policymakers, and work with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Monitor and report on legislative and regulatory activity that could impact the company's reputation or brand.
  • Liaise with key executives, industry peers, and trade associations to identify opportunities to pursue policy objectives and anticipate and respond to regulatory and legislative challenges.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of government affairs and/or media industry experience.
  • Work experience in Latin America.
  • University study in a related field.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
