About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate Director of Development II in the Latin America region. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of donors and prospects in Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize to support our conservation efforts in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of 60-100 major and principal gift level donors
  • Lead the development of a network and cultivation of donors in assigned countries
  • Develop fundraising strategies and plans to reach annual fundraising goals
  • Engage and collaborate with conservation staff, country directors, volunteers, and other development staff to ensure proposals for support meet TNC's highest level needs

Requirements and Competences:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Business, Communications, Marketing, Environmental Sciences, or related fields
  • At least 6 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or business development, preferably in the non-profit sector
  • Proven success in managing donor portfolios, including soliciting and closing gifts over $50,000
  • Experience with philanthropic practices in Latin America is highly desirable
