Job Description

At Wood Mackenzie, we are seeking a highly skilled Sales Operations Reporting Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our sales operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the design and build of reports, dashboards, and data extracts needed to review leading indicators of sales performance and customer analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Performance Reporting: Support the Sales division in reaching their goals through data analysis, generate insightful recommendations from reporting to improve commercial performance, and understand the end-to-end sales process to ensure reporting drives consistent improvements.
  • Customer Usage Reporting: Support the creation and maintenance of customer usage reports and dashboards to meet the needs of Sales, Customer Organisation, and the wider business, as well as support requests for ad-hoc analysis required in custom formats.
  • Product Pricing Support: Provide support to the Product Pricing team as required, including data audit activities, maintenance of price books and other pricing tools, and support the price setting process, including discount analysis, risk analysis, and replacement costs.
  • Sales Resourcing and Target Setting: Conduct data audits to ensure alignment of sales opportunity and target ownerships throughout the year, data audits to ensure sales opportunity ownerships fall within sales matrix rules, and work with Global Sales Managers and Account Managers to correct issues discovered.
  • General: Act as a key point of contact for any data or reporting queries, audit data for quality through its lifecycle to ensure its accuracy and efficacy for use, provide day-to-day support to key stakeholders, and ensure quick and high-quality response.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of related experience in a similar role
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Some experience of sales environments and data, with acute commercial and business awareness
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables & reporting, data models etc.)
  • Experience in using data visualisation tools (Power BI preferred)
  • Some knowledge of SQL and DAX preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Analytically minded with strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
  • Curious and driven to unlock the insights available in large complex data sets
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Good organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to elicit stakeholder requirements and turn requirements into a set of data outputs
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present clear information
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Confident, self-motivated, professional, proactive, and entrepreneurial
