Vertiv Operating System Manager

In partnership with assigned internal customer groups, the VOS Manager will oversee the successful planning, development, and execution of continuous improvement programs within Vertiv Operating System (VOS). They will provide oversight on all continuous improvement projects and standardize business as usual (BAU) processes within assigned departments.



Responsibilities


  • Coordinate and supervise daily activities of CI (VOS) Coordinators and their support staff
  • Ensure alignment and adherence to VOS methodology and framework
  • Accountable for administration and execution of VOS-related policies and procedures
  • Decisions have a direct impact on functional operations and customers
  • Frequently interact with subordinates, customers, and peer groups at various management levels
  • Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution
  • Ability to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence
  • Lead facility VOS communications, education, and trainings
  • Lead functional analysis including baseline of core business processes and financial analysis and continuous measurement and improvement
  • Partner with Regional VOS leader to develop and deploy VOS strategy


Qualifications

Minimum Job Qualifications


  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Six Sigma / Lean certifications, preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in local language and English
  • Ability to coach, teach, and lead leaders to develop continuous improvement strategies
  • Ability to influence decision making and drive continuous improvement initiatives


Preferred Qualifications


  • Strong analytical skills, including the use of statistical modeling techniques, root cause analysis, and other tools and methods
  • Ability to influence and lead in a matrix organization to drive accountability and execution of VOS mindset and activities
  • Ability to work with assigned function leader to define and set appropriate targets for improvement and measure progress to targets
