About the Role

This position plays a critical role in driving the growth of ABB Schweiz AG's Building Automation business. As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing the company's digital sales strategy in your assigned market scope, focusing on improving market penetration and achieving growth aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales Strategy Development: Create, plan, and implement sales strategies and initiatives to achieve both qualitative and quantitative digital sales targets.
  2. Sales Target Achievement: Meet assigned sales targets for the territory, supporting the overall business through efforts across sales territories in the areas of specification and end-user development.
  3. Customer Acquisition: Identify opportunities at existing and potential new customers within defined geographical areas, determining plans for acquisition and allocating resources.
  4. Information Sharing: Coordinate the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc., and evaluate data to ensure achievement of goals.
  5. Customer Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers, and ensuring efficient marketing communications.
  6. Volume, Profit, and Cost Management: Ensure achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by supporting market price and margin for sales, participating in negotiations of key contracts, and managing ongoing costs.
  7. Risk Management: Monitor client financial status and report any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams, identifying and managing potential risks relating to contract agreements across customers/channels.
  8. Sales Process Ownership: Take ownership of the sales processes, and all relevant training and development plans, actions, and programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales management, business development, or product management experience in the building technology, building automation, or IoT industries
  • Proven ability to demonstrate the value of energy efficiency, building automation solutions in buildings (HVAC control, lighting control, access control, etc.)
  • Strong technical aptitude, experience in the Internet of Things (IoT) and HVACR markets
  • Supportive of digital transformation and new forms of revenue streams, experience with national account and enterprise customers
  • Advanced skills with MS Office software products, familiarity with
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong customer focus
  • English advanced level
