Job Scope & Purpose
The Supply Chain Development Program is a 2-year program designed to develop recent college graduates and early-career individuals into future leaders of Johnson Controls. During the 2-year commitment, participants will spend 6 months in each of 4 rotations, gaining a comprehensive understanding of material control, lean methodologies, manufacturing, and data analytics. This program provides invaluable exposure to various business models and functions within the company, with rotations located in Mexico: Ciudad Juarez, Monterrey, Matamoros, and Reynosa. Employees are encouraged to take on additional work outside of their day-to-day responsibilities to gain further knowledge and increase their network within the company.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Seek to learn and develop an understanding of cross-functional Supply Chain and Operations from assignment teams and leaders.
- Leverage Voice of Customer, Data Collection, and Analysis to deliver continuous improvement and sustainability.
- Generate timely analysis to support decisions that generate efficiencies and simplification in scheduling and operations.
- Establish and manage databases or information with data integrity to develop analysis that enables materials control, scheduling decisions, supplier performance, and other functional KPIs.
- Maintain effective working relationships and communication with all departments, taking advantage of networking opportunities.
- Learn the JCMS maturity model and support plant in meeting standards and improvements.
- Effectively demonstrate an understanding of how Supply Chain activities impact Revenue Capture, Margin Expansion (Savings), and Cash Flow.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Economics, or Business Management/Administration.
- The ability to relocate across Mexico for each assignment (4 rotations, 6 months each assignment) in the next locations: Ciudad Juarez, Monterrey, Matamoros, and Reynosa.
- Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software with strong Excel skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.
- Effective and professional communication and organization skills.
- Normal mechanical and analytical ability is a must with knowledge of statistical techniques and problem resolution.
