About the Role:

We seek a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Manager in Training (MIT) in Spa. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the wellness and spa industry, a keen interest in spa management, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

The MIT will support various aspects of administration, creative program development, and strategic initiatives within the spa department. Reporting directly to our Senior Spa Director, the MIT will work closely with a dotted line with our Spa Director to gain valuable insights and develop functional management skills.

About the MIT Program:

The 12-month Rotational Program is designed to learn and develop functional management skills in a variety of situations, allowing us to assess your ability and potentially promote you to Assistant Manager at the end of the program.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support administrative tasks, including email correspondence, supplier coordination, and documentation.
  • Manage purchase orders, invoices, and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Coordinate spa events and promotions by requesting BEOs and ensuring seamless execution.
  • Handle Department Standard Testing, HotSOS calls, and Medallia responses.
  • Be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
  • Train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees to ensure established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for outlet operation.

Creative Initiatives:

  • Assist in generating creative ideas for spa packages and wellness programs.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, etc., is a plus.
  • Contribute to the creation of a promotional calendar for spa services and products.
  • Support the execution of engaging content for social media platforms related to spa and wellness.

Strategic Planning:

  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities, providing insights into international and local trends in spa and wellness.
  • Present analytics to evaluate the performance of spa initiatives and promotions.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic spa marketing plans.
  • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
