Key Responsibilities:
In the role of Senior Engineer, you will provide technical guidance and strategic vision to the teams developing Amazon Photos solutions, particularly focusing on our Desktop application. You will collaborate with engineers across Mobile and Web domains.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring adherence to best engineering practices while designing software that is responsive, reliable, and maintainable.
- Influencing product vision in collaboration with designers and product teams to create software utilized by millions.
- Working closely with various teams within Amazon to architect solutions capable of scaling to hundreds of millions of users.
- Serving as a mentor and role model for fellow engineers.
- Contributing to a dynamic team environment that embraces agile development and fosters innovation.

Core Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy innovative photo features with a primary focus on Desktop applications.
- Write clean, maintainable code and engage in peer code reviews.
- Utilize advanced programming skills to create consumer-facing experiences across various Desktop technologies (e.g., C#, .NET, Xamarin).
- Collaborate with other client teams (Web and Mobile) to explore design approaches, prototype new technologies, and assess technical feasibility.
- Analyze and optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability, considering network constraints.
- Launch new features in both domestic and international markets in collaboration with other teams.
- Enhance operational excellence, focusing on latency and scalability improvements.
- Participate in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software efficiently.
