Job Summary

CIMMYT seeks an exceptional professional with excellent administrative skills to support its Legal Department as a Legal Assistant to the General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Support: Provide comprehensive daily assistance to the General Counsel, encompassing internal and external communications, document preparation, calendar management, and confidential file maintenance.
  • Calendar Management: Effectively manage complex calendars, ensuring timely coordination of meetings, scheduling, and logistical arrangements.
  • Contract Life Cycle Management: Support the drafting, review, negotiation, and amendment of contracts with national and international entities.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform tasks such as expense report processing, payment handling, travel arrangement coordination, advance management, and documentation reporting.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the General Counsel and internal/external stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in law, administration, or related fields.
  • At least five years of experience as an Executive Assistant to a managing partner or partner of a large law firm or in similar roles.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly confidential environment at the executive level.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate precisely and professionally with internal and external sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, take initiative, work independently, maintain an organized work environment, and be part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately $70,000 USD, depending on qualifications and location. CIMMYT offers an attractive remuneration package, including year-end bonus (40 days), vacation premium (56%), life and medical insurance, supermarket coupons, savings fund, social Mexican benefits (IMSS, SAR/Infonavit).
