Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to lead our regional procurement efforts for Rigid Plastic & Resins in LATAM. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic partnerships with suppliers to ensure supply continuity and deliver on cost and cash improvements, innovation, and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Regional Strategy: Develop and execute regional strategy through key levers and strategies, cost modeling, RFI/RFP processes, negotiations, supplier sourcing, and new product support.
  • Manage Key Supplier Relationships: Manage key supplier relationships across the region and develop a deep understanding of the market and supply base.
  • Lead Supplier Selection and Component Pricing: Lead supplier selection and component pricing for innovation, support innovation projects through commercialization, and drive speed and cost improvement.
  • Lead Business Reviews: Lead business reviews for strategic suppliers.
  • Drive Alignment: Drive alignment with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Deliver Inflation Forecasts: Deliver inflation forecasts used in the budgeting process and report and update in a timely manner cost savings and cash improvement against targets.
  • Track Commodities: Track commodities, mitigate inflation, and provide contractual pricing information to operations teams.
  • Leverage New Technology: Leverage new technology where opportunity exists to enhance product performance and/or create additional flexibility.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline or military experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in procurement portfolio/category management, procurement operations, or other supply chain areas, preferably with a regional scope.
  • Skills: Procurement skills in areas such as market analysis, negotiation, clean sheets, and project management skills. Preferred experience within plastics and operational procurement.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interface with and influence multiple levels of an organization internally and externally, with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration in a matrix organization.
  • Financial Analysis Skills: Strong financial analysis skills, organizing and evaluating financial data to support business decision-making.
  • Risk and Opportunity Management: Ability to identify, assess, prioritize, and manage risk and its impact.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Ability to identify, evaluate, and engage suppliers to optimize quality and value in the purchase of materials, services, and equipment.
  • Complex Project Management: Ability to manage complex projects with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Language: Advanced level of English required.
