Job Summary

This role provides dedicated financial support to Mexico Operations, reporting to the Global Customer Operations Finance Controller. The individual is expected to make a full contribution to the management of Mexico Operation's manufacturing and assembly activities, including financial planning, financial controls, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consolidate Mexico Operation's monthly financial performance and develop financial plans for rolling, annual, and strategic financial goals.
  • Provide high-quality financial forecasting, analysis, and decision-making support to maximize labor utilization, P&L absorption, and cash.
  • Manage the communication and presentation of financial data to operational stakeholders, including monthly reviews, forecasts, and budget presentations.
  • Implement robust and consistent cost control policies and processes, including transfer pricing and costing structure oversight.
  • Develop and manage inventory plans, support their implementation, and monitor performance against the plan.
  • Lead and develop the Mexico Operations Finance Team and contribute to the success of the John Crane finance function through key initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Global Customer Operations Finance Controller to review and drive performance in manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Assess and ensure that Mexico Operations have aligned their operational resources to achieve strategic and commercial objectives.
  • Ensure commercial projects meet organizational needs and receive appropriate financial evaluation.
  • Support ad-hoc John Crane initiatives, projects, or M&A activities, including integration and information requests.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Operations financial policies and processes, including commercial project evaluation and financial controls.
  • Support Transparent Gross Margin and transfer pricing analyses for statutory account purposes and taxation requirements.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field, with an advanced degree or accreditation (MBA, CPA) a strong plus.
  • A minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience with a strong focus on Operational and/or Strategic Business Analysis.
  • Leadership experience, either directly or indirectly.
  • Demonstrated ability to persistently pursue and achieve results, using data/analytics to monitor and review plans.
  • Ability to make good judgments in an increasingly complex global business, effectively sourcing and analyzing critical information.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate and present to senior-level management.
  • Reports to the Global Customer Operations Financial Controller, with a dotted line to the Mexico Operations site leaders and NAM Regional Operations Director.
  • Line management responsibility for the Mexico Operations finance team.
  • Global finance management teams and local finance location and reporting.
  • Advance English language skills.
