About the Role
As an Associate Technical Writer at AspenTech, you will play a crucial part in helping our customers understand and utilize our industry-leading process simulation products. This role requires a strong passion for engineering and technical writing, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex information to various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate and detailed documentation of procedures and workflows to facilitate user understanding and training.
- Create documentation in various media formats, primarily Help and PDF, for technical products.
- Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, and Quality Engineering teams to deliver comprehensive technical user documentation.
- Participate in other projects and assignments as required, such as creating eLearning materials.
- Adhere to standard processes, including development life cycle, version control, documentation standards, and quality procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in industrial and/or academic settings in modeling, simulation, and design of chemical, spec chem, pharmaceutical processes or technical writing.
- Ability to install and use AspenTech products, including testing procedures and workflows, and provide feedback to Development teams.
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word.
- Basic knowledge of Agile and Waterfall development processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in groups in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong academic performance.
- Experience working with US companies is a plus.
