Key Responsibilities- Contract Lifecycle Management: Develop, draft, review, negotiate, amend, release, and archive national and international agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Case Management: Manage case entry, closing, follow-up, and documentation, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Research and Compliance: Conduct research on treaties, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, supporting the global compliance program by ensuring alignment with policies, codes of conduct, and training programs.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with legal and regulatory requirements in Mexico and other jurisdictions, providing expert advice to the organization.
- Legal Support: Provide counsel on privacy, data protection, research ethics, health and safety, phytosanitary standards, and environmental regulations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Due Diligence and Document Preparation: Conduct due diligence, draft various legal documents, including opinions, notes, letters, and memoranda, and provide counsel on labor and regulatory requirements.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs on regulatory requirements and compliance, promoting a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization.
- Education: Degree in Law and a master's degree/LL.M.
- Experience: At least 8 years of proven experience in in-house regulatory and compliance functions.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills, including the ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to lay stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of matters, work well under pressure, and prioritize multiple competing assignments.
- Language: Proficiency in English and Spanish, with a minimum C1 score on CEFR.
- Competencies: Time Management, Flexibility/Adaptability, Customer Orientation, Proactivity, Teamwork, Achievement Orientation, Problem-Solving, and Multi-Cultural Awareness/Sensitivity.
