Stamping Process Engineer

Littelfuse, a leading global manufacturer of electronic components, is seeking a highly skilled Stamping Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Service team, you will play a critical role in defining and establishing strategies to ensure our stamping fabrication area meets the highest quality and process capability standards required by our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide engineering services to implement standardization and continuous improvement initiatives, including technical training, analysis, problem-solving, process capability improvement, and new technologies implementation.
- Focus on developing, correcting, or implementing new manufacturing processes or equipment transfers from or to other locations, while preserving quality at established operating parameters and costs.
- Work closely with the Service Engineering Manager, Production Manager, Engineers, and support staff to generate and follow up on new business opportunities.
- Propose and justify improvements to existing products and/or processes to reduce costs and increase productivity.
- Test and evaluate prototypes of new models.
- Provide solutions to reduce cycle times while ensuring product quality.
- Establish recommendations for changes and updates of new products.
- Determine activities needed to improve process capability and product characteristics.
- Support the press shop floor for any issue or product or process abnormality.
- Define and establish optimal operation equipment and press parameters.
- Process and methods standardization.
- Operational documentation development (visual aids, work instructions, operation manuals, etc.).
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in stamping process development activities, such as manufacturing engineer or related to product or process development.
- Engineering change management experience.
- Knowledge of CAD software.
- Project management and administration.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and basic knowledge of the Six Sigma methodology.
- Knowledge of core tools (PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA).
- Knowledge of balancing lines, standard work, material flows.
- English proficiency of 70% or higher.
