Job PurposeWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Power Electronics Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the mechanical design of Hybrid/Electric Inverter and Converter Systems for various global automotive customers.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components for Hybrid/Electric Inverter and Converter Systems
- Lead the powertrain, driveline, and packaging of electronics and circuit boards
- Ensure mechanical components meet customer specifications and BorgWarner's Bill of Design
- Perform thermal management, vibration capability, thermal shock, and tolerance stack analysis
- Document design and develop and interface with the supply base to support program needs and purchasing initiatives
- Collaborate with customers and provide written and oral presentations as needed
- Apply a structured problem-solving approach to resolve issues
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical hardware design experience
- Experience with automotive electronics and environmental and durability requirements
- Proficiency in NX or similar CAD applications
- Experience with analysis tools (preferred)
