About Our Client
Our client, a leading private equity firm, is expanding its operations and seeks a senior investment associate to join its team in Mexico. You will have the opportunity to work alongside senior management in sourcing and analyzing investment opportunities in the energy and infrastructure sector in Mexico. As well, you will play a key role in managing and leading junior members on the investment team. Our client seeks a hands-on individual to play an active role in all aspects of the transaction, from origination through to execution and asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of potential investment opportunities in the energy and infrastructure sectors in Mexico.
- Support in the structuring and financing of transactions, ensuring alignment with the firm's investment strategy.
- Oversee the analysis and due diligence of potential investment opportunities, providing recommendations to senior management.
- Play a key role in portfolio/asset management, monitoring financial, commercial, operating, and ESG factors.
- Update financial models of the fund, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Collaborate with senior team members on all issues related to deal closing, ensuring seamless execution.
- Manage the asset management debt dashboard, incorporating all relevant information about the fund's debts.
- Prepare regular investment, valuation, and profitability reports for senior management and investors.
- Support capital raising initiatives, contributing to the firm's growth and development.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or strategic management consulting.
- Extensive knowledge of the energy and infrastructure sectors, including power generation, oil & gas, transportation, and water.
- Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, engineering, actuary sciences, or a related field, with an MBA or master's degree in finance, engineering, or a related field.
- Superior analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Hands-on and energetic team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced level of English, with the ability to communicate effectively with international stakeholders.
