The Corporate Affairs and Social Responsibility Manager will define, design, implement, and monitor CSR projects in the LATAM region, promoting and positioning the organization's image and commitment to social responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and execute the organization's local community relations strategy within the region.
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop and support CSR strategies, focusing on employee awareness and engagement.
- Monitor relevant CSR trends, identify risks and opportunities, and support CSR strategy execution accordingly.
- Facilitate the implementation of corporate volunteerism and other social-related standards and programs.
- Encourage community involvement and collaboration with local stakeholders.
- Co-design the Regional CSR Scorecard and report progress to top management.
- Serve as the local lead liaison with community stakeholders for the Company.
- Identify and support regional and local volunteering activities.
Brand and Communications:
- Co-develop key messages and public position papers on material issues, sustainability, and CSR topics.
- Collaborate with internal and external communication professionals to position Clarios' regional branding.
- Represent Clarios in partnerships with regional ecosystem actors.
Philanthropy:
- Establish and maintain relationships with community partners and NGOs through the Foundation work.
- Guide teams to strategically partner with local ecosystem actors for advancing Clarios' social impact portfolio.
- Maintain and conduct activities carried out through the Clarios Foundation in the region.
- Execute Clarios projects and programs with Pure Earth and UNICEF in the region.
Government Relations and Public Affairs:
- Support the actions and plans developed by the department to promote healthy and sustainable stakeholder and government relations.
- Collaborate with the Corporate Affairs team to embed business strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, sustainability, environmental studies, or a social studies-related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sustainability, internal or external communications, human resources, community, diversity & inclusion.
- Fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese desired.
- Demonstrable strength and experience in CSR and sustainability leadership, strategies, governance, and motivation of a geographically dispersed team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including working in collaborative team environments and establishing and maintaining ongoing business relationships.
- Leader and team player able to coordinate the efforts of local teams, internal/external partners, and engagement with national coverage CSR-related institutions and NGOs.
- Proven experience negotiating complex matters, influencing others to achieve results, and facilitating cross-functional project teams.
- Strong strategic thinking skills.
- Strong networking skills.
- Ability to develop and engage employees and encourages excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategy development and execution independently.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
