Position Overview

The incumbent will play a pivotal role in driving revenue generation through New To Bank (NTB) clients or New to Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF) clients, collaborating closely with the Sales and Coverage teams within Wholesale Banking. This position involves assessing client portfolios, identifying market opportunities, and aligning these with tailored structured trade solutions to meet client needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance the growth of receivable finance solutions as part of GTRF's strategic objectives, focusing particularly on LC/MME clients that cater to large buyers.
  • Engage in complex Structured Trade discussions with clients, determining optimal structuring for no-recourse transactions, which may involve collaboration with insurers.
  • Collaborate with Wholesale Banking GRBs and GTRF Business Development Managers to increase RF penetration across sector clients at both HQ and Regional HQ levels.
  • Deliver professional presentations to potential clients, showcasing HSBC's strengths against competitors in the banking sector.
  • Plan and develop innovative sector solutions and propositions in partnership with Global Product & Propositions.
  • Facilitate the replication of LRRF/RRF solutions across multinational sites by promoting in-country sales and solution structuring.
  • Lead the development of structured trade solutions and spearhead global strategic initiatives for key clients.
  • Oversee global operating rhythms, including client and deal reviews, pipeline management, and performance dashboards for the Structured Trade Finance portfolio.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to produce internal and external thought leadership content.
  • Support the creation of key initiatives and related business cases.
  • Represent structured trade interests across Global Businesses and Functions, engaging with various global stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the sharing of best practices among regional teams.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of Global Trade & Receivable Finance products.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role, particularly in Product Management or GTRF Sales.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects related to GTRF products, including risk, operations, legal, and compliance.
  • A commitment to enhancing customer service delivery.
  • A flexible and adaptable mindset, encouraging similar responses from colleagues.
  • Experience in guiding and supporting team performance through clear direction and motivation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Proven track record of building effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.
