About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Digital Transformation efforts within the Finance function at Carrier. As a key member of our global Digital organization, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and process improvement across the organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong technical background in implementing and supporting Finance capabilities and business processes using core platforms like SAP, Ariba, and Kyriba. You will partner with various teams both internal and external to drive Digital transformation and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, analysis, design, build, test, go live, and hyper care phases of project implementation.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with functional owners and CoE teams, leveraging your deep technical and process knowledge to drive engagement.
  • Manage external implementation partners, software vendors, and service providers, participating in the development of request for proposals/quotes and project proposals.
  • Demonstrate broad project leadership, impacting significant technical direction, and exert influence outside of your immediate team to drive change.
  • Manage ongoing operations to ensure solutions are performing as expected and meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Drive innovation within the Finance function via business systems and process transformation.
  • Partner with vendors and system providers to assess platform capabilities and identify opportunities for cost savings, productivity, process streamlining, simplification, and improved user experience.
  • Support the overall Carrier Transformation goals, including shared services enablement, global Treasury solutions, and process simplification/optimization across the board.
  • Develop peer, cross-functional relationships to leverage best practices, maximize solution quality, and drive user adoption.

Requirements

Language skills:

Adequate written and spoken English level to handle fluent and assertive conversations across global teams.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in IT-Business Systems roles or Postgraduate Degree with 3+ years of experience in IT-Business Systems roles.
  • 2+ years' experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance is required.

Travel availability:

20% of the time.

Additional skills & experience:

  • Proven track record and experience managing and supporting Finance in demanding multi-entity environments with complex systems and projects.
  • Strong track record of driving results through action-oriented thinking and innovative problem-solving, aligning with organizational strategy.
  • Proven practical experience in implementing ERP systems, particularly SAP, with additional knowledge of other corporate systems like Ariba, TMS, or similar.
  • Ability to own difficult decisions, ensuring timely actions that align with business critical priorities.
  • Solid knowledge of modern software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or similar), combined with the ability to translate them into successful SAP implementation strategies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and internal drive, able to thrive in situations with ambiguous or incomplete information.
  • Strong relationship builder and influencer with the ability to mediate opposing viewpoints and work well in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience working with decision-makers in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to drive clear communication and powerful presentations with key business partners, including senior executives.

Preferred:

  • Experience with other solutions like SAP MDG, Ariba, Concur, and/or Kyriba.
  • Central Finance experience.
  • Agile methodologies certification (PMI-ACP, AgilePM, SPS, CSM, PSM, PSPO, etc.).
  • Country rollouts, upgrade, transformation experience.
