We're looking for a
Learning Coordinator (English)
with strong hands-on experience in content execution and coordination to join our team and contribute to our mission of democratizing K–12 education in Latin America. We're looking for someone with passion, drive, and strong collaboration skills.
Role Mission
The Learning Coordinator (English) plays a hands-on role in the execution and delivery of high-quality K–12 English instructional materials. This role supports content production end to end—writing, editing, revisions, and quality checks—to ensure materials are accurate, standards-aligned, and classroom-ready.
Acting as an execution partner to content leads and writers, the Learning Coordinator helps translate curriculum plans into well-produced lessons delivered on time and at a high standard.
Responsibilities
Book Editorial
- Support the editorial development of K–12 English print materials, including student books, teacher guides, workbooks, and ancillary resources.
- Perform hands-on copyediting and proofreading to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency, and grade-level appropriateness.
- Ensure alignment between manuscript content, learning objectives, standards references, and instructional intent.
- Apply and maintain editorial style guides, terminology standards, and formatting conventions across all book components.
- Review page proofs and layouts in collaboration with Design, ensuring instructional integrity, readability, and correct placement of content elements.
- Track and implement editorial changes across multiple review cycles, maintaining strong version control.
- Coordinate author, editor, and reviewer feedback to ensure timely and accurate revisions.
- Flag content risks, inconsistencies, or pedagogical issues and escalate them to content or learning leads as needed.
- Support final quality checks prior to print or digital release to ensure materials are classroom-ready.
Content Creation
- Actively support the creation, revision, and preparation of K–12 English instructional content, including lessons, assessments, and supporting materials.
- Perform first-pass edits for clarity, consistency, formatting, and grade-level appropriateness prior to academic or editorial review.
- Implement feedback and revisions directly in content documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare content for handoff by finalizing files, metadata, naming conventions, and version control.
Content Coordination & Delivery
- Coordinate day-to-day content production workflows across writers, editors, and reviewers.
- Track content progress across creation, review, revision, and approval stages using internal tools and trackers.
- Ensure deadlines are met and proactively flag risks or delays.
Quality, Standards & Alignment
- Check content for alignment with learning objectives, scope and sequence, grade-level standards, and instructional guidelines.
- Ensure consistency in instructional language, structure, and formatting across lessons and units.
- Identify gaps, redundancies, or misalignment and escalate academic concerns when needed.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Execution
- Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to support smooth content implementation in digital products.
- Coordinate feedback from academic, design, and product stakeholders and ensure accurate execution.
- Support localization or adaptation of English content for different markets or learner contexts when applicable.
Process & Operational Improvement
- Maintain and improve content templates, checklists, and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Support sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives for content production cycles.
- Document processes and best practices to support scale and onboarding.
Administrative & Delivery Support
- Maintain detailed content trackers, calendars, and documentation.
- Support content audits, updates, and refresh cycles.
- Assist with onboarding and day-to-day support of freelance writers or contributors.
¿What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in
Education, English, Literacy, Humanities
, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - 6+ years of experience
coordinating, producing, or supporting K–12 English / ELA instructional content in an EdTech company, educational publisher, or curriculum-focused organization. - Strong understanding of
K–12 literacy instruction
, grade-level expectations, and standards-based curriculum (e.g., state standards, Common Core–aligned frameworks). - Hands-on experience editing, revising, and preparing instructional content with high attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple content streams simultaneously.
- Comfort working directly in content documents, CMSs, or learning platforms, including version control and feedback implementation.
- Excellent written communication skills in English and strong collaboration abilities.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
- Experience in fast-paced or high-growth environments;
EdTech or startup experience is a plus
