Position Overview

Foxconn is seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual
Production Planner
with strong knowledge of the
Surface Mount Technology (SMT) industry
. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure efficient use of resources, timely delivery of products, and alignment with customer requirements. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and experienced in managing production workflows in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules
    for SMT lines, ensuring alignment with customer demand and capacity.
  • Coordinate material availability
    with procurement and inventory teams to avoid shortages or delays.
  • Monitor production performance
    and adjust schedules to meet delivery commitments.
  • Analyze production metrics
    such as cycle time, throughput, and efficiency to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
    (engineering, quality, logistics) to resolve production issues.
  • Support continuous improvement projects
    focused on optimizing SMT processes and reducing waste.
  • Prepare reports and forecasts
    for management regarding production status and capacity planning.
  • Ensure compliance
    with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
    in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
  • Experience in production planning
    within the SMT industry (required).
  • Strong knowledge of SMT processes
    including line balancing, material flow, and scheduling.
  • Bilingual proficiency
    in English and Spanish (required).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    with attention to detail.
  • Proactive and adaptable
    , able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills
    to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in continuous improvement projects
    (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus).
