Job Summary
Are you ready to work in a fast pace environment, in a small office setting but for a large corporation, with a competitive compensation?
In this dynamic setting, you will play assist the Mexico Controller in executing accounting and financial reporting activities. Lead local fiscal compliance efforts, including coordination with outsourced teams for the preparation and review of indirect tax filings. Oversee local revenue reporting for operations ranging from USD 150M to 200M, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Ensure full compliance with tax declaration deadlines and ancillary obligations under local regulations. Coordinate advisory services and represent the company before tax authorities

Education:
Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Preferred, but not required: CPA – Accounting and / or BAR - Lawyer
Experience:
2-3 years in accounting or audit.
Preferred, but not required: Big 4, multinational environment
Skills:
Type and proficiency, Detail oriented, Fluent English/Spanish, Microsoft Office, ERP System, Book-keeping / Tax accounting, Tax Law, Financial Regulations and e-filing knowledge Oracle, bilingual English and Spanish, cross-department collaboration, critical thinking
Required:
Must be eligible to work in Mexico without visa sponsorship
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and support periodic filings for indirect taxes, e-invoices validation when applicable, and other electronic submissions.
- Record journal entries, reconcile tax accounts, and support month-end close activities.
- Assist with payroll tax calculations and submissions.
- Track and report local content metrics, support audits, and ensure sourcing meets regulatory thresholds.
- Liaise with external bookkeeping/tax provider and internal departments for PIT, tax declarations, and compliance reviews.
- Provide tax guidance to internal departments (HR, procurement, legal) on transactions and compliance.
- Prepare documentation and respond to queries for internal/external audits.
- Monitor tax-related legal cases and assist legal advisors with financial documentation.
