Medical Biller (Fully Remote – Latin America)

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: Fully Remote (Candidates must be based in Latin America)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Pay: $5–7 per hour

Job Overview

We are hiring a Medical Biller to support healthcare billing and administrative operations. This is a fully remote, full-time position for candidates located in Latin America. While prior medical billing experience is preferred, excellent English speaking and communication skills are more important than hands-on billing experience. Native or near-native English speakers are highly preferred.

This role requires strong follow-through, attention to detail, and the ability to manage billing-related tasks independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and navigate provider portals such as Availity, CMS, Medicare/Medicaid, Payspan, and Optum Pay
  • Assist with EHR/EMR setup and support, including Practice Fusion, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, and Tebra
  • Support provider credentialing by gathering, organizing, and tracking required documentation
  • Verify patient eligibility and assist with prior authorization processes
  • Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs
  • Handle EFT and ERA enrollments
  • Conduct claim status inquiries and assist with denied claim reviews
  • Ensure timely follow-up on billing-related tasks and assignments

Qualifications

  • Experience in medical billing or healthcare administrative support preferred
  • Familiarity with insurance billing processes and claims follow-up is a plus
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills (required)
  • Native or near-native English speakers highly preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
