Location: Querétaro, Mexico (Hybrid – 10 minutes from central Querétaro)

  • As Head of Purchasing North America, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the purchasing strategy for both Mexico and the U.S. operations. You will oversee all aspects of purchasing - from strategic sourcing and supplier development to operational procurement and new program launches.

  • This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role where you'll be empowered to build and develop a local supplier base, lead negotiations, and support new business acquisitions as the company continues its rapid expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the purchasing strategy for North America (Mexico & USA).
  • Establish and manage a local supplier base for key commodities- e.g. plastics
  • Lead supplier negotiations, performance management, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and program management to support new product launches and business development.
  • Ensure alignment with global purchasing and corporate strategy.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Automotive Tier 1 background with proven experience in strategic purchasing.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical commodities (plastics and/or metals).
  • Experience in supplier quality management is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • A communicative, energetic, and passionate leader who thrives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
  • Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
