As a Strategic Program Manager (SPM) at Fictiv, you will work with some of the world's leading enterprises and innovative startups to accelerate their product launches while maintaining the highest quality standards. As a trusted advisor, you will guide customers through all phases of development and manufacturing—from New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) through production readiness and scaling.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Quality, and Fulfillment teams to scope, plan, and execute customer programs, ensuring products are launched on time, within budget, and at the highest quality. You will serve as the primary customer point of contact, ensuring alignment, communication, and exceptional execution across the product lifecycle.
This role is key in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. You will help refine internal processes, strengthen program management discipline, and improve how we deliver value to customers.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Act as the primary customer advocate, building strong relationships and ensuring a high-quality customer experience that drives long-term partnership and loyalty.
- Collaborate with internal teams before and after the sale to ensure on-time project delivery while proactively managing risks and changes throughout the program lifecycle.
- Apply technical expertise in engineering and manufacturing to identify risks early, develop mitigation plans, and manage changes that keep programs on track.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the program, providing insights and guidance to internal teams and customers to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Monitor program milestones and performance, adjusting timelines, resources, or deliverables as needed to meet customer expectations and quality standards.
- Facilitate regular status meetings with customers and internal teams to ensure alignment of program requirements, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and partner with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Desired Traits (Distinguished Skills and Qualities)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing projects or programs in product engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with New Product Development (NPD), New Product Introduction (NPI), APQP and production environments.
- Expertise in more than one manufacturing processes, such as CNC Machining, 3D Printing, Injection Molding, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Die Casting, or Assembly.
- Customer-facing experience leading technical, operational and consulting engagements.
- Strong program management and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage risk, and meet deadlines within a structured framework.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience collaborating across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter with strong business acumen and a customer-first mindset, capable of building strong relationships and influencing without authority.
- Demonstrated focus on process optimization, continuous improvement, service excellence, and driving customer success.
- Passionate about learning, problem-solving, and navigating challenges with resilience.
- Ability to travel 25% to visit customers and manufacturing facilities.

- Proficiency in standard business tools and software systems used in manufacturing operations used for program tracking, communication, and reporting.
- Ability to work at a desk for extended periods.

Áreas de Responsabilidad (Funciones Esenciales)Lo que Harás:
- Actuar como el principal representante del cliente, construyendo relaciones sólidas y asegurando una experiencia de alta calidad que impulse asociaciones a largo plazo.
- Colaborar con equipos internos antes y después de la venta para asegurar entregas puntuales, gestionando de manera proactiva los riesgos y cambios durante el ciclo de vida del programa.
- Aplicar experiencia técnica en ingeniería y manufactura para identificar riesgos tempranos, desarrollar planes de mitigación y gestionar cambios para mantener los programas en curso.
- Servir como Experto en la Materia (SME) del programa, brindando orientación y conocimientos a los equipos internos y a los clientes para garantizar claridad y alineación.
- Monitorear los hitos y el desempeño del programa, ajustando cronogramas, recursos o entregables según sea necesario para cumplir con las expectativas del cliente y los estándares de calidad.
- Facilitar reuniones periódicas de estatus con los clientes y equipos internos para asegurar la alineación de requisitos, cronogramas y expectativas de calidad.
- Identificar oportunidades de mejora en los procesos y colaborar con equipos multifuncionales para impulsar eficiencia operativa y satisfacción del cliente.
- Licenciatura en Ingeniería Mecánica, Manufactura, Industrial o áreas relacionadas.
- 5+ años de experiencia gestionando proyectos o programas en entornos de ingeniería o manufactura.
- Experiencia práctica en Desarrollo de Nuevos Productos (NPD), Introducción de Nuevos Productos (NPI) y entornos de producción.
- Conocimiento en uno o más procesos de manufactura, como maquinado CNC, impresión 3D, moldeo por inyección, fabricación de lámina metálica, fundición a presión o ensamble.
- Experiencia frente al cliente, liderando iniciativas técnicas y consultivas.
- Fuertes habilidades de gestión de programas y del tiempo, con capacidad para priorizar, gestionar riesgos y cumplir plazos dentro de un marco estructurado.
- Excelentes habilidades de comunicación verbal y escrita, con experiencia colaborando con equipos multiculturales y multifuncionales.
- Proactivo, con visión de negocio y enfoque en el cliente, capaz de construir relaciones sólidas e influir sin autoridad directa.
- Enfoque demostrado en optimización de procesos, mejora continua, excelencia en el servicio y éxito del cliente.
