About the Team At Nutanix, you'll be joining a dynamic team within the Sales Compensation department, composed of six talented sales compensation analysts, including yourself. Our team culture is highly collaborative, emphasizing open communication and teamwork to drive innovative solutions that support our sales organization. We believe that every team member's insights are valuable, and we create an environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute and share ideas. You will report to the Senior Manager of Sales Compensation, who fosters a supportive atmosphere that encourages professional growth and development. The work setup is hybrid, requiring you to come into the office in Guadalajara for just one day a week to engage with your colleagues and participate in in-person discussions. This flexible arrangement allows for a balance between collaborative office time and productive remote work. Additionally, there are no travel requirements for this position, enabling you to focus fully on your role without the added need for travel commitments. Your Role
- Lead the annual compensation planning process, including the development and distribution of compensation letters outlining commission structures and quotas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow between our Quota Planning and Sales Compensation tools.
- Act as the primary point of contact for sales team inquiries related to compensation, ensuring timely resolution of any discrepancies or disputes.
- Analyze commission payment trends and develop insights that drive performance optimization for underperformers and high achievers.
- Work closely with Finance, Incentives, and Field Operations to ensure alignment and transparency in compensation practices.
- Continuously update and maintain documentation of compensation programs and policies to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Implement and refine a system for categorizing and managing discrepancies in commission payouts.
- Set first-year objectives focused on enhancing compensation data accuracy and improving overall sales team satisfaction with compensation processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in sales compensation or financial analysis.
- Proficient in compensation software and advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Solid understanding of sales compensation structures, terminologies, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for data accuracy and trend analysis.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, HR, and Finance.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and resolve compensation-related inquiries.
