Manage the system, resources, personnel, and equipment of the Molding Processes department. Ensure compliance with safety standards to prevent machine downtime due to plastic injection molding processes, thereby meeting departmental objectives and increasing efficiency.

  • Validate new molds and new projects.
  • Validate robots.
  • Coordinate and supervise Process Engineers.
  • Ensure cycle times are within standard.
  • Ensure parts meet quality requirements.
  • Coordinate the transfer of robot tooling (end-arm tools).
  • Meet the Processes department's uptime target in the molding area.
  • Maintain the Processes area's scrap level within target.
  • Develop work strategies to maintain and improve the Processes area's key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage the generation and implementation of improvement ideas in the Processes departments.
  • Manage compliance with the area's safety guidelines, as well as their implementation and monitoring of legal procedures applicable to the Processes department.
  • Manage and administer the Processes department's budget, ensuring that critical spare parts for the Processes department, as well as wear parts, are registered in the system. All of these are registered in the spare parts warehouse, maintaining minimum and maximum stock levels for each.
  • Ensure compliance with YFIMS requirements assigned to the department.
  • Ensure compliance with annual corporate performance management (PMs), such as RYG and EOAT tests on all IMMs, guaranteeing 100% compliance.
  • Manage compliance with the area's safety guidelines, as well as their implementation and monitoring of procedures and legal requirements applicable to the Processes area.
  • Ensure internal and external communication of potential risks in the area.
  • Meet safety and health metrics (accident rates and lost time).
  • Meet environmental metrics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plastic injection molding.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
